Introduction
It is always enriching to attend events and listen to experts in different subjects talk about the latest trends and methodologies in different fields of computing. From September 28 to 30, the 11th Colombian Computing Congress (11°CCC) was held in the city of Popayán, an event that brought together guests from more than 12 countries, as well as from different departments of Colombia. I had the opportunity to attend and I want to tell you a little about how the experience seemed to me, I hope you like it.
Conferences and Talks
In my opinion it was one of the highlights of the 11th CCC, there were many talks to choose from, depending on your interest in specific areas. Conferences were given on Usability, Data Management, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Emotional Computing, Semantic Web, among others. There was a wide variety of topics in different lines of computing that you could choose from. That the congress will have this range of possibilities is, in my opinion, its strongest point. The speakers were quite good, they explained some new trends that are occurring in the aforementioned areas.
I arrived very early to the first conference
Short Papers and Full Papers
Let me explain, the people who were at the 11°CCC could do so as authors, speakers or simply as attendees. To be an author you had to send an article to the congress explaining a research project you were working on. Short Papers are articles from research projects that are in process, or in an initial phase; while the Full Papers give the results of the project, that is, when the project ended and what conclusions it led to.
I had the opportunity to send a Short Paper about my undergraduate thesis project (later I will write another post explaining a little), basically the area of my project focuses on Semantic Web technologies, the article was selected to be presented at the 11°CCC. This includes my director, my two co-directors, my thesis partner and me as authors.
Those whose articles were selected had to make a presentation explaining a little about what their research consisted of, and we did so (the speaker was my colleague, and she did excellent). You could go to the presentations of other Short Papers and Full Papers and, to put the cherry on the cake, all the selected papers were published in IEEE Explore as part of the proceedings of the event, great.

Logistics
In general it was very good, there were logistics personnel who were in charge of taking the time of the speakers, there was time for questions and they were rarely late in the schedules of the talks and conferences. The site where the congress took place was the Casa de la Moneda Convention Center, a favorable and very pleasant place, with excellent facilities. Whenever we arrived at the conferences and talks, there was a logistics manager for the room; he was in charge of the time, the computer where the presentation was projected, among other activities. The opening and closing events were excellent and the gastronomy even better.

Popayan
We also had time to get to know the city a little, Popayán is a very beautiful city, its people are very friendly and its colonial architecture falls in love with whoever decides to visit it. It seems that the city had been frozen in colonial times and that it had been its inhabitants who had changed. Its gastronomy is very good, its crafts, its culture and its history. We went to several representative places in the city, without a doubt Popayán fulfilled and was up to the task.

Conclusion
The 11th CCC left me with very pleasant sensations and experiences, I encourage you to attend this type of meeting, the exchange of knowledge is very beneficial, the objective is for you to grow and learn new things. I remind you that the comment box is always available, but see you next time. See you soon.
